  A criminal barrister who gave a client £2,300 to help ‘turn her life around’ after claiming he was broke will keep his job. Roy Headlam admitted he was ‘stupid’ to give the woman cash for clothes and a college course while representing her in ongoing proceedings. Headlam set out to help the ‘manipulative’ client, whose boyfriend was a drug dealer, after she told him she could not afford food or electricity. He handed her up to £300 in cash…
