Barrister’s council flat ‘fraud’

A barrister claimed she was homeless in a bid to get a a council flat, a court heard today (wed). Katrina McCarthy, 41, had been evicted from numerous properties for not paying her rent, Isleworth Crown Court heard. She contacted the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham in August 2015 claiming she was destitute.
