Boxer battered to death with a baseball bat

A former boxer was ambushed and mercilessly beaten to death by a neighbour who struck him with a baseball bat wrapped in a motorbike chain, a court heard. Ian Tomlin, 46, was found slumped by lifts outside his flat on Charlotte Despard Avenue, Battersea, on October 17 last year.
