Children’s charity loses ‘young spy’ challenge

A charity which claims police and other government agencies are putting children’s lives in danger by using them as spies saw its challenge against the Home Office thrown out today. Just for Kids Law challenged the the way investigative bodies use children as undercover operatives, known as Children as Covert Human Intelligence sources (CHIS) Children are used to spy on potential terrorists, drug dealers and the taxman even the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs could recruit youngsters….
