A police officer is fighting to save his career after his ‘shopaholic’ mother used his bank account to launder money she had stolen from her boss. Tamara Carter, 48, was jailed for four years in September 2017 for pilfering £850,000 while working as a personal assistant at Whittinghame Property Investments. Ms Carter blew the cash on handbags and luxury holidays, but her son PC Robert Carter, 32, allegedly allowed her to pay £126,000 of the cash into his bank account….
