A  would-be  schoolboy rapist picked on the  wrong  woman ¨
when he attacked a pretty 24-year-old who had just got off the same ¨
bus, the Old Bailey heard.
The  woman  was a police officer on her way to  work  and ¨
when  the 14-year-old grabbed her she dragged him to  her  police ¨
station by the hair, the jury was told.
She had noticed the boy leering at her as she got on  the ¨
bus near her home and he followed her upstairs, said  prosecutor Mr
Peter Testar.
'The  boy sat behind her and started making nuisance
of himself,' said counsel.
He  was so close to her that she could feel his hair  and ¨
when she moved across her seat he did the same, it was alleged.
She told him 'to pack it in.' She then felt something at ¨
the base of her spine, which may have been the defendant's hand.'
When  the bus arrived at Ladywell Road the woman got  off ¨
to continue her journey to Lewisham police station on foot.
The boy also got off and 'again he was looking at her  in ¨
a rather strange way,' said counsel.
The  policewoman  walked on thinking he had gone  in  the ¨
opposite direction, but suddenly he grabbed her from behind,  the ¨
court was told.
He dragged her to the grounds of a nearby leisure  centre ¨
and made a 'chilling and determined' attempt to rape the  police¨
woman, said counsel.
As he repeatedly pulled at her crotch he allegedly  asked: ¨
'Do you want sex or would you like me to rape you?'
'She  grabbed hold of him by the hair and took  him  down ¨
the road to Lewisham police station,' said Mr Testar.
The  WPC  was  clearly upset by what  had  happened.  Her ¨
tights had been ripped and there were scratches on her thighs.
The boy gave a bizarre explanation of what had happened.
He  said  as he walked past the woman in the  street  she ¨
turned  and said: 'Do you want to go to the police station?'  and ¨
dragged him there for 'no reason.'
The  boy  admitted saying something like:  'Do  you  want ¨
sex.'
But  he claimed he was merely thinking  aloud,  repeating ¨
dialogue from the Austrailian TV series 'Home and Away.'
The boy from Blackheath, denies attempting to rape
Miss X on  February 29 this year.
The trial continues.
