A driver who left two teenage rugby players with life threatening injuries after he lost control of his car during a 100mph race has been jailed for 31 months. Peter Blade, 44, was driving his two children and two of their friends to a Sunday match in wet conditions when an Audi A3 overtook him on the A13 between Dagenham and Wennington, Essex.
