End of career for abandoning patient

A nurse who left a patient to fall over and cut her head open in the toilet has been struck off. Elaine Lewis, 64, also accessed more than 3,000 patient files without authorisation at Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen, west Wales, in May 2015. Lewis also lost another elderly patient, who she was supposed to be supervising.
