Escapee slipped handcuffs but couldn’t open fire exit door

A bungling inmate who slipped free of his handcuffs during a hospital visit was caught when he failed to open the fire exit door, a court heard. James Nyman, 21, made a break for it after he was taken to St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington for an X-ray last November.
