First ‘murder’ victim of 2019

A man accused of the first murder of 2019 has appeared in court. Michael Rolle, 34, stabbed Charlotte Huggins, 33, in the back during a domestic dispute in John Ruskin Street, Camberwell, southeast London, the Old Bailey heard. The mother-of-one was pronounced dead at 4:30am on January 1 in the flat where she grew up, half an hour after police had been called to the scene.
