Fugitive to stand trial for butcher’s murder

A wanted man accused of stabbing a shop assistant to death at a butcher’s six years ago appeared in court today (Tues) after being extradited from Turkey. Ehsannullah Mohabat was 18 when he allegedly knifed Irfan Ahmed in the chest at the Halal Food Direct store in Wood Green, north London, on 29 September 2011.
