A cleaner who gambled away £40,000 worth of ‘blood money’ from her friend’s savings has been jailed for more than two years. Jean Jones, 45, inherited the cash following the death of her brother, Colin, who himself received a pay-out as a result of life-changing injuries suffered in a fall at a Rod Stewart concert in 1983.
