‘I just wanted to ward him off’ says brawling traveller

A traveller who brandished a shovel in a fatal brawl at a motorway service station told a court today  he only intended to ‘ward off’ the man who was beaten to death. Mikey Coyle, 21 and Simon Baker, 22, confronted Quhey Saunders, 20, at Cobham services during on on-going feud in the gypsy community.
