Jail for crooked bookkeeper

A bookkeeper who stole £60,000 from a building firm and spent the cash on trips to Legoland and vets’ fees was jailed for three and a half years. Nicola Hayter, 52, worked as a bookkeeper at Retrofit UK where she used the business’ trade account to fund personal expenses and family day trips. Hayter also paid herself bonuses and increased the wages of her 26-year-old daughter Emily Griffiths, while she was also working for Retrofit. The con came to light…
