‘Babes in the Wood’ jury sent out

The jury in the trial of ‘Babes in the Wood’ suspect Russell Bishop retired to consider its verdicts this afternoon (mon). Bishop, 52, is said to have sexually assaulted and strangled nine-year-old schoolgirls Nicola Fellows and Karen Hadaway 32 years ago in Brighton. The girls were last seen playing close to Wild Park at around 6.30pm on Thursday 9 October 1986. Their bodies were found huddled together in dense undergrowth the following afternoon.
