Lawyer ‘beaten up outside Westminster bar’

A top lawyer and crossword champion was beaten up in the street outside a bar at the Houses of Parliament, a court heard. Ronald Freeman, 56, allegedly attacked Peter Brooksbank after a row erupted at the Sports and Social Bar and spilled into the street. Mr Brooksbank, 63, was taken to hospital by ambulance after several police officers were called to the bar located just yards from the commons.
