 ALEXANDRIDES:PLASTIC SURGEON CAN WORK SUBJECT TO CONDITIONSCENTRAL LONDON
A plastic surgeon who featured on hit TV show Embarrassing Bodies can continue to practise subject to a range of conditions for selling liposuction to a patient without discussing the risks.
Dr Ioannis Alexandridis did not adequately discuss the possible complications of a liposuction procedure with a female patient before operating on her at his (111) Harley Street Clinic.
The woman, known as Patient A, was unhappy with her surgery and underwent two revision procedures but was still not satisfied with the results.
A Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service panel in Manchester criticised Dr Alexandridis's 'cavalier approach' to record-keeping and poor communication.

A police officer accused of trying to frame an innocent banker insisted to a court he was the victim of an assault.
PC Jason Cooke, 42, said he 'pre-emptively' struck Anthony Jordine in the face because he feared he was about to be attacked himself.
Cooke blamed Mr Jordine, 29, for 'immaturely' sparking the incident, and said he used proportionate force to detain the suspect.
The officer is standing trial accused of falsely claiming Mr Jordine had smashed a shop window in Brick Lane, east London, by forcefully pushing him off his feet.

Steven Newell, 32, splashed out on a string of champagne-fuelled gambling trips to Las Vegas for him and his friends.
The holidays involved stays in plush hotels on the Strip including the MGM Grand and shooting expeditions in the Nevada desert.
Newell also rented a luxury Marylebone flat and bought designer clothes and a top-of-the-range high performance BMW M3.

AGYEI: EAST LONDON SEX RING SUSPECTS IN COURTEAST HAM, BECKTON, STANMORE, STRATFORD, MANOR PARK
Nine alleged members of a sex ring accused of repeatedly raping a 14 year-old girl are to stand trial at the Old Bailey in September.
The suspects, aged between 21 and 30, are said to have abused the teenager in hotels and cars in London over six months last year.
Detectives arrested the men following a series of raids by the Metropolitan Police's sex crime unit Sapphire in March.
Eight of the nine are accused of conspiring to engage in sexual activity with a child between May 1 and November 30, 2012.

CHARLES: DRUG ADDICT SPARED JAIL OVER NIGHTMARE MUGGINGWOODFORD GREEN
A drug addict who left a woman suffering nightmares after trying to rob her in the street was spared jail today.
Jerome Charles, 37, was 'out of his nut' on crack when he approached Nosheen Mohammed and her 14-year-old brother and tried to sell them a SIM card.
The schizophrenic bared his teeth, raised his hands and demanded she hand over her phone.
Her brother ran screaming from the incident, and she said she has seen Charles' face in her nightmares ever since.

A doctor was cleared today (Fri) of pulling a young woman's flimsy G-string to the side and prodding her private parts after a tribunal found her evidence was unreliable because she was a user of the animal tranquilliser, ketamine.
Dr Affan Qazi, 33, denied performing an inappropriate examination of the patient which was alleged to be sexually motivated and without clinical justification
The patient told the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service the doctor pulled her knickers to one side and touched her inappropriately when she attended the Accident and Emergency Department at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

SHAW: HOSPITAL SUICIDE 'COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED'MAIDA VALE
A coroner has slammed standards of care at a central London psychiatric hospital after a patient on suicide watch hanged himself.
Richard Shaw, 58, was supposed to be checked on every 15 minutes but he used a cable from the back of a water-cooler as a noose, Westminster Coroner’s Court found.
Mr Shaw had been suffering from severe bouts of depression whilst a patient at Capio Nightingale Hospital in Bell Street.
Doctors attempted to resuscitate him at the scene in the hospital dining room but he was pronounced dead after the incident on 11th June last year.

A Fulham prostitution trafficked girls into the UK to be used for sex, a court heard.
Natalia Cannon, 33, and Tatiana Shmyrova, 44, brought girls to the capital to work in Chelsea and Kensington, it is claimed
Shmyrova is accused of being the 'Madam' of the organisation and would arrange through Cannon and another associate, Richard Gorecki, for the girls to be picked up from the airport and taken to clients in brothels, Westminster Magistrates Court was told.

Horrified sightseers and onlookers also witnessed Rehman press a second knife to his chest while threatening to kill himself.
He was heard to say 'I want to die' and 'stay back, I will do it, I will do it' before being blasted with a 50,000-volt stun gun last February 3.

Two killers who carried out the ruthless gangland hit on the stepson of celebrity gangster Dave Courtney are facing life sentences today (Fri).
Genson Courtney, 23, was shot through the eye by uncle David Pinto, 33, and Robert Bleach as he went to his car outside his girlfriend's flat.
The bodybuilder victim was a drug dealer and steroid abuser who had been vowing to settle scores with his 'Uncle David.'
Pinto decided to eliminate the threat first and got Bleach, 45, to help him.

 SMYLIE: JAIL FOR CASH-GRAB KILLERPADDINGTON, WEST LONDON
A prolific crook who killed a 'kind and friendly' man and stole £80 from his wallet was jailed for five years and three months today (FRI).
Terry Smylie, 27, pushed 45 year-old Michael Walser to the ground after confronting him in an alleyway in west London.
Mr Walser hit his head on the pavement but did not seek medical treatment and was found dead at his home five days later.
Smylie, a drug addict with 83 previous convictions, was arrested after being identified from CCTV of the attack.
