Prisoners ‘took delight in trying to behead inmate’

Three prisoners tried to behead a fellow inmate and ‘delighted’ in performing the gruesome murder in front of horrified guards, a court heard. Stephen Boorman, 34, and James Brabbs, 33, allegedly used improvised weapons including two ‘shanks’ and a makeshift ligature to kill Taras Nykolyn, 49, at Woodhill prison in Milton Keynes. The pair were ‘pumped up’ and in a heightened state of excitement as they carried out the jailhouse slaying on June 5 last year, the Old Bailey heard….
