An inmate who tried to behead a fellow prisoner told guards he liked women’s magazines because he enjoyed the murder stories, a court heard. Stephen Boorman, 34, and James Brabbs, 33, allegedly attacked Taras Nykolyn, 49, with improvised knives or ‘shanks’ at Woodhill prison in Milton Keynes, on June 5 last year.
