A former soldier is suing the Ministry of Defence after he contracted Q fever from animal waste while stationed in Afghanistan. Wayne Bass, 34, alleges his life has been ruined because of the British Army’s failure to provide antibiotics to prevent the illness after he was deployed to Helmand Province.
