Christmas break for MP jury
The jury trying a Tory MP accused of breaching campaign spending limits at the 2015 general election has been sent home for Christmas. Craig Mackinlay, 52, secured a majority of just over 2,800 in south Thanet, Kent, beating Ukip leader Nigel Farage and gaining 38% of the vote following a tense campaign.
