Colombian cleaner nicked Princess Firyal of Jordan jewels worth £1m

A Colombian cleaner has appeared in court charged with stealing gems worth £1m from a princess. Maria Taborda Henao, 69, allegedly swiped diamond rings, bracelets, watches and earrings while working for the Princess Firyal of Jordan at her £6m Belgravia home. Taborda Henao is said to have stolen the jewellery belonging to the 80-year-old royal before a relative sold the items through an auction house in Kent.
