Cop denies assaulting man he thought was a suspect

A serving Met Police officer has denied assaulting a man he mistakenly identified as a suspect. PC Jonathan Marsh, 34, attached to East Area Command Unit, allegedly used excessive force during the incident in Romford, east London, last 13 November. PC Marsh is accused of assaulting the man after he was called to investigate an alleged incident of criminal damage on Atlanta Boulevard.
