‘Driver helped spring ambush to murder this man’

An alleged getaway driver charged with murder was remanded in custody. Jonathan Makengo, 22, is accused of helping a gang stab 19-year-old Mohammed Usman Mirza to death in Ilford, east London in November 2019.
