Frozen assets of phone company ‘fraudster’

The assets of an exiled Turkish businessman who defrauded two of the largest phone companies out of £2.1 billion should remain frozen, the High Court heard today. Motorola and Nokia are trying to recover as much as they possibly can from Murat Uzan, after they lent the monies to Telsim, a Turkish cellular start-up owned by the Urzan family to enter the fast-growing Turkish market.
