Lorry driver faces retrial over biker death

A gritter lorry driver accused of killing a motorcyclist while performing an illegal U-turn faces a retrial after a jury failed to reach a verdict. The Old Bailey heard Anthony Duggan, 47, was dragged under the wheels of 45-year-old Peter Wright’s truck as he swung sharply to the right opposite a police station.
