Pensioner ‘murdered for his shopping’

A pensioner was murdered for a box of cornflakes and shepherd’s pie, a court heard. John Mackey, 87, was attacked after he made a trip to his local Co-op to buy food and a newspaper in Goodchild Road, Manor House, north London.
