Sobbing lorry driver cleared of cyclist killing

A trucker who finished his delivery run after running over a female cyclist has been cleared of causing her death by careless driving. Darren Anderton, 49, was driving east along St James Road, Croydon, when his black Scania lorry hit Magda Tadaj on 23 May last year. Ms Tadaj, 25, suffered catastrophic injuries when she was knocked down and dragged along the road for 14 metres. Police and paramedics arrived within minutes but could do nothing to save her life….
