Pregnant woman spared jail over Rolex fraud

A pregnant woman who used a stolen credit card to try and buy a £30,000 Rolex from a luxury jewellers has avoided jail. Alesaundra Cornette, 23, tried to use Maureen Stopher’s card at Mappin and Webb’s Regent Street branch to get her hands on the expensive watch.  She was previously alleged to have also used it to buy a similarly priced Rolex a day earlier at Kent’s Bluewater Shopping Centre but the CPS dropped the charge against her.
