Accused gunman denies trying to run over cop

An accused gunman has denied trying to mow down an armed police officer with his BMW following a shooting, the Old Bailey heard today. Aydin Altun, 25, is accused of firing his self-loading pistol on 28 October last year near White Hart Lane, Tottenham, North London. Prosecutors claim he was armed unlawfully with the gun and 9mm short calibre cartridges.
