Accused jail escapee ‘spied for Iran’

A former soldier accused of escaping from Wandsworth prison after passing information to Iran appeared in court today (mon) for the start of his trial. Daniel Khalife allegedly broke out of HMP Wandsworth last 6 September by using bed sheets to strap himself to the underside of a food delivery truck, sparking a 75-hour manhunt.
