Accused of murdering this sex worker 29 years ago

An alleged killer accused of stabbing an ‘upmarket’ sex worker to death nearly 29 years ago was remanded in custody today (tues). Sandip Patel, 50, was charged with murdering Marina Koppell, 39, on 9 August 1994 following a cold case review. Ms Koppel, a Columbian who had lived in London for 13 years, was found dead by her husband in her flat in Chiltern Street, Marylebone. She had been stabbed multiple times.
