Greek statue returned to Libya
An ancient Greek sculpture worth up to £3million has finally been returned to the Libyan Government more than a decade after it was stolen. The marble statue, said to depict Persephone, the goddess of the underworld, Persephone, was discovered in a west London warehouse in 2013. HMRC officials believed the artifact had been taken out of Libya via Dubai two years earlier.
