The mother of man killed in a knife attack has called for witnesses to come forward as she told of the anguish of turning off her only child’s life support machine. Bicycle mechanic Jonathan McPhillips, 28, was attacked outside the town hall in Islington in the early hours of Saturday morning after a night out with friends.
