A businessman who claims to have sold handbags to Meghan Markle pocketed nearly £200,000 from the taxman to pay for his children’s private school fees, a court heard. Filip Lademacher, 58, the former boss of telesales firm Berger & Co – once branded ‘Britain’s most complained-about company’, created a fake identity to claim £180,953.30 in VAT rebates.
