Jailed for stabbing knife crime campaigner to death
Two killers were jailed for a total of 17 years for stabbing a grime artist who had campaigned against knife crime. Abiola Akerele, 28, known as ‘Nayta the King’, was stabbed through the heart in East Ham, east London on 29 December 2020. Mr Akerele had featured in a BBC Panorama documentary about knife crime in 2007. His mother said she feared her son would be killed in the programme.
