Jury can’t decide if property director forgot to pay

A property developer who walked out of Fortnum & Mason with eight bottles of champagne and claimed he forgot to pay is facing a retrial. Douglas Vallender, 52, was said to have pinched the fizz from the famous Piccadilly department store on 1 May last year.
