Killer believed girlfriend had ‘turned into a devil’

A killer who cut his teenage girlfriend’s throat more than two years after he had been served with a deportation notice believed the victim had ‘turned into a devil’. Tunisian Maher Maaroufe, 23, repeatedly stabbed City University psychology undergraduate , 19, in Clerkenwell, central London, on 19 March last year.
