Knifeman gets seven years

A thug who stabbed his victim in the neck in an unprovoked attack has been sentenced to seven years in jail. Brian Hamilton, 53, stabbed his 32-year-old victim in the head, neck and upper back on Bramble Way, Brighton on 29 September 2020. Hamilton had only recently met his victim and lashed out in what was a seemingly motiveless attack. The victim managed to flag down an off-duty police officer and was treated at a nearby hospital.
