‘Murdered in his own home’

An alleged killer charged with murdering a man in his own home was remanded in custody today. Menelik Campbell, 20, is accused of knifing Elliot Francique, also 20, to death in Plaistow, east London, on 19 April. Campbell appeared at the Old Bailey today via video link from HMP Pentonville wearing a brown T-shirt and spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth. Prosecutor Kerry Broome said: ‘It was 19 April, it was approximately 15:20 in the afternoon….
