Protester told: ‘Move for the police – even if the world is ending’

An Extinction Rebellion protestor who blocked traffic on Waterloo Bridge was told by a magistrate he should have moved when asked by police – even if the world was ending. Christopher Ford, 42, a special needs nursery assistant from Cambridge was fined £620 for refusing to comply with a police order to restricting protests to Marble Arch. The father-of-two put his hands on his head and lay on the ground when police asked him to get out of the road….
