Radical preacher ‘led banned militants’

Radical preacher Anjem Choudary appeared in court today (Fri) accused of leading and directing the banned militant network Al-Muhajiroun. Choudary, 56, and Canadian national Khaled Hussain, 28, were arrested two weeks ago over alleged membership of the proscribed organisation. The cleric was taken into custody during a dawn raid by Met Police counter terrorism detectives in east London, while Hussain was arrested at Heathrow Airport.
