A people smuggler accused of killing 39 Vietnamese migrants who suffocated to death in a lorry trailer was waiting for his own UK passport, a court heard. Romanian Gheorge Nica, 43, and Irish truck driver Eamonn Harrison, 24, allegedly caused the deaths of the non-EU citizens who suffocated in the back of a refrigerated lorry.
