Sixth accused member of ‘Bulgarian spy ring’ in court

A Bulgarian national accused of being the sixth member of a suspected Russian spy ring was remanded in custody today (weds). Tihomir Ivanchev, 38, is suspected of carrying out surveillance for Vladimir Putin’s regime. Ivanchev is charged with conspiring with five other Bulgarians to gather information that would be useful to an enemy between 30 August 2020 and 8 February 2023.
