A gang of human traffickers charged Albanian illegal immigrants £5,500 to be smuggled across the Channel in inflatable boats, a court heard today (fri). Leonard Powell, 66, and his son Alfie, 39, ferried non-EU migrants into the UK between 1 April and 14 August 2016, it is alleged.
