Soldier must pay back £118,000 from ‘Turkey teeth’ swindle

A shamed soldier who took part in a £1m swindle on the Ministry of Defence which saw the ringleader buy luxury cars and ‘Turkey teeth’ must pay back just £118,000. Former lance sergeant Lee Richards made 103 fraudulent claims totalling £434,825 while based at Regent’s Park Barracks in central London. The 42-year-old worked with seven other serving soldiers and a civilian accomplice who made hundreds of bogus expenses claims from the Ministry of Defence from December 2014 to January 2016….
