A 75-year-old Sri Lankan man convicted of assaulting a woman on the Tube claims he cannot be sentenced because he is ‘bedridden’, a court heard today. Ponniah Thillainadesan, was convicted of sexually assaulting his victim at Stockwell Underground Station on 26 November 2018, which he denies.
