Top cop on trial for possessing indecent image

One of Britain’s most senior black female police officers has gone on trial accused of possessing an indecent video featuring a five year-old girl. Chief superintendent Novlett Robyn Williams, 54, allegedly received the clip via WhatsApp. The officer, who was the Met Police public face for the Notting Hill Carnival and New Year’s Eve celebrations, denies she ever saw the clip.
