Tory peer cleared of fiddling expenses

A Tory peer was today (mon) cleared of fidding his expenses after a judge ruled the case was ‘entirely a matter for parliament and not a matter for the courts.’ Lord Hanningfield, named in court as Paul White, was accused of falsely claiming £3,300 in full-day attendance fees from the House of Lords.
