Trucker jailed for smuggling fags into UK inside deadly asbestos cargo

  A Hungarian trucker who smuggled more than £750,000 tax free cigarettes into the UK, hidden inside rolls of paper stuffed with deadly asbestos was jailed for 21 months. Valerij Budera, 30, was caught at Dover Eastern Docks on 16 October after trying to bring the fags into the country without paying £200,000 in excise duty.
